Best known as a ceramic sculptor of both large and small scale creations, Jim also produces more functional work. Landscape and buildings within the landscape, architecture and the geometry that goes with it, dry stone walls, water and erosion, all of these posess inspirational power for Robison. There is an alluring lightness and brightness to the softer, glowing colours of his vase forms while the decorated open bowls feature golden browns and delicate blues.
